Funding Scheme for Local Associations of Professional Fishers
Eligible beneficiaries under the Scheme are the following Local Associations of Professional Fishers located within the FLAG intervention area.
Local Associations recognized by the Pancyprian Association of Professional Coastal Fishers:
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Ayia Napa
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Ayia Triada
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Paralimni
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Potamos Liopetriou
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Larnaca
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Ormideia
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Xylofagou
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Xylotymbou
- Local Association of Professional Fishers of Zygi
The total public expenditure budget for the implementation of the Scheme amounts to €100,000. Of this amount, 70% (€70,000) is funded by the EMFAF, while the remaining 30% (€30,000) is funded by the Republic of Cyprus. The funding granted to the Local Associations of Professional Fishers participating in the Scheme covers 100% of the public expenditure.
Each Local Association of Professional Fishers may submit an application for funding with a minimum eligible budget of €1,000 and a maximum eligible budget of €20,000.
The grant may be paid in one or more instalments, depending on the nature of the proposal and the amount of funding approved. Projects expected to be approved under the 1st Call must be completed, and all payment-related documents (Grant Agreement and proof of payment documents) must be submitted electronically within one year from the date of signing the Grant Agreement.
Project selection will be carried out through a direct evaluation procedure.
The Scheme, the Guide, and the Annexes are available in electronic form on the website of the EMFAF at www.moa.gov.cy/emfaf. Applications may be submitted electronically from Wednesday, 20 May 2026 until Friday, 16 October 2026 through the website www.moa.gov.cy/emfaf.
